Werner Sobotka has served as teaching staff at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna since June 2015 within the Faculty of Performing Arts' Acting department.
His professional development includes:
- Training at the Krauss acting school
- Completion of musical studio at Theater an der Wien
- Acting instruction under Herwig Seeböck
His creative practice spans acting, stage direction, and musical composition with emphasis on cabaret and theatrical innovation. As co-founder of the Austrian group 'Die Hektiker' (1981), he has directed productions for major venues including Vienna's Volksoper, Munich's Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, and ORF television.
Award recognition includes:
- Kurier Romy (1997) for television series 'Die kranken Schwestern'
