Werner Prell

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Werner Prell serves as Professor and Program Director for the Bachelor's program in Bio- and Environmental Process Engineering and Master's program in Environmental Technology at Amberg-Weiden University of Applied Sciences.

His academic responsibilities include:

• Teaching thermal, mechanical, and chemical process engineering
• Instruction in biogenic raw materials, heat/mass transfer, and process simulation
• Plant and equipment design curriculum development

Research initiatives focus on:

• Utilization of fermentation residues and secondary fertilizers
• Carbon dioxide conversion via heterogeneous gas catalysis (Power-to-Gas)

Office hours are held Wednesdays 11:00-11:45 during lecture periods or by appointment (Winter Semester 2025/26).
