معرفی
Prof. Werner Becker is a Professor at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE), specializing in neutron stars, pulsars, and high-energy astrophysics. He is an editor of the influential book *Neutron Stars and Pulsars* (2009) and has led major projects like the eROSITA X-ray telescope's studies of supernova remnants and neutron stars. His work includes contributions to pulsar timing for spacecraft navigation and gravitational wave detection.
Research focuses on X-ray emission from pulsars, neutron star cooling, and multiwavelength studies of supernova remnants. He organized international conferences like the 2006 Prague Symposium on Pulsar Astronomy and the 2002 COSPAR Symposium on High Energy Studies of SNRs. Becker's affiliations include the International Max-Planck Research School (IMPRS) and involvement in the eROSITA mission.
His teams explore pulsar wind nebulae, central compact objects in supernova remnants, and X-ray bubbles in the Milky Way. Future work includes the TRAPUM pulsar survey and analysis of eROSITA all-sky survey data for new SNR discoveries.
