Wendy Raney

Wendy Raney is an Assistant Professor at the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, Washington State University, affiliated with the Department of Journalism & Media Production. She specializes in teaching courses like Reporting Across Platforms (COMJOUR 333), Writing in Communication (COM 300), Sports Journalism (COMJOUR 487), and Strategic Sports Writing (COM 388).

Research & Teaching Focus: Raney emphasizes experiential learning, integrating real-world projects into her curriculum. Her work on experiential learning has been presented at National Communication Association (NCA) annual conventions (2021, 2022, 2024), where she also serves as Experiential Learning Division vice chair.
