Wendy Phillips

Professor Wendy Phillips is a leading academic at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol Business School), specializing in innovation studies and supply chain management. She holds a Professorial position in the FBL - Business and Management department and directs the Innovation, Operations Management and Supply (IOMS) Research Group. Her work focuses on public procurement, redistributed manufacturing in healthcare, and crisis resilience in supply chains.

Education: BSc (Hons) Biology (University of Manchester), MSc Technical Change and Industrial Strategy (University of Manchester), PhD (University of Manchester).

Research Interests: Redistributed manufacturing, public procurement strategies, healthcare supply networks, discontinuous innovation, and the intersection of technology and governance in complex systems. She leads initiatives like the Redistributed Manufacturing in Healthcare Network (RiHN) and co-leads the FAST CAR-T project, exploring decentralized CAR-T cell therapy production.
