Dr. Wendy Macklin is Professor and Chair in the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine. She holds graduate program affiliations with both the Cell Biology, Stem Cells, and Development program and the Neuroscience Graduate Program. With a Ph.D. from Stanford University (1979) and an M.S. from Yale University (1974), Dr. Macklin has established herself as a leading researcher in neural development and myelination.
Dr. Macklin's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying oligodendrocyte differentiation and myelination in the central nervous system.
