Wendy Elizabeth Bonython is the Associate Dean of Learning & Teaching and a Fellow at Bond University's Faculty of Law, affiliated with the Centre for Space, Cyberspace & Data Law and the Centre for Professional Legal Education. She holds a PhD in Molecular Medicine (Griffith University) and a Juris Doctor (University of Canberra). Her research focuses on law and medicine, regulation of technology, medical ethics, privacy law, and space law. She has contributed to projects like the Safety in Sport Legal Research Team and studies on the impact of emerging technologies in legal education.
Her educational background includes degrees in Biochemistry, Genetics, and Legal Practice. She previously held roles at the University of Canberra (2010-2018) and the Australian Institute of Criminology. Notable contributions include guidelines on medical malpractice prevention and analyses of AI legal frameworks.
