Wendy Baker

Wendy Baker serves as Associate Director of Clinical Training and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School's College of Professional Psychology (Chicago campus), a position she has held since Summer 2022.

Her educational background includes a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adler University (2022). Dr. Baker brings extensive clinical experience from diverse settings including foster care agencies, community mental health facilities, ER/hospital environments, private practice, and residential treatment centers, complemented by her prior service as a Chicago Police Officer.

Dr. Baker specializes in psychological assessment, forensic psychology, and mental health law with strong emphasis on multicultural competence and ethical practice. Her teaching philosophy prioritizes critical thinking, evidence-based interventions, and creating safe learning spaces for students exploring careers in psychology, particularly with underserved populations across the lifespan.

As Associate Director of Clinical Training, she oversees student placements while teaching doctoral courses including Diagnostic Seminar, Intellectual Assessment, Integrative Assessment, Mental Health Law, and Professional Ethics. Her clinical expertise spans individual, couples, and lifespan interventions with focus on forensic applications and diversity-informed care.
