Wendell Pritchett is the James S. Riepe Presidential Professor of Law and Education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. He has held significant leadership roles, including University Provost (2017-2021) and Interim University President (2022), and previously served as Chancellor of Rutgers-Camden (2009-14) and Deputy Chief of Staff for Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter (2008).

His research focuses on urban policy, housing law, and race relations, analyzing historical and contemporary issues in urban renewal, fair housing enforcement, and racial segregation. He has published extensively on these topics, including books on Brownsville, Brooklyn and Robert Clifton Weaver.
