Wendell Loewen is a Professor of Youth, Church, and Culture at Tabor College, where he also serves as a Special Assistant to the President for Constituent Engagement. He holds a DMin in Youth and Family Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, an MDiv from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, and a BA from Fresno Pacific University. His academic roles include Executive Director of Ministry Quest, Dean of Spiritual Formation, and Campus Pastor at Tabor College.
His research focuses on youth ministry practices, adolescent development, and spiritual formation within church contexts. He has authored books and articles addressing youth safety, theological foundations of ministry, and adolescent identity. His recognitions include the Clarence R. Hiebert Excellence in Teaching Award (2008) and Distinguished Faculty status (2008-2009).
Loewen’s courses cover topics like youth ministry strategies, conflict resolution, and church mission. His presentations emphasize storytelling in ministry, corporate calling, and mentoring practices. He actively serves as a keynote speaker at conferences and provides pulpit supply for regional churches.
