Weiqin Chen

Professor Weiqin Chen is a faculty member at the Department of Computer Science, Oslo Metropolitan University, affiliated with the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design. Their research focuses on Universal Design of ICT, Human-Computer Interaction, and Welfare Technology with emphasis on accessibility, emergency management systems, and inclusive education technologies. Key projects include the CHIP homeTec initiative exploring health technologies in pediatric palliative care and the SCALED project developing adaptive online learning platforms.

Research interests span AI trustworthiness, elderly-centered AR design, situational disability awareness in emergencies, and digital accessibility in museums/education.
