Weijia Li is a Clinical Professor of international higher education leadership and Director of the Global Higher Education MS Program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison's School of Education. He teaches graduate courses on internationalization of higher education, leadership for international programs, and higher education administration.
Education: PhD in Germanic Languages and Literatures from The Ohio State University (2009).
Research Interests: Focuses on international higher education systems, diversity/equity/inclusion frameworks, cross-cultural representations in media, and historical Sino-German intellectual exchanges. His work analyzes how cultural narratives shape educational practices and global engagement.
Publications: Recent scholarship examines DEI in global education contexts, while earlier publications explore cultural imagery in advertisements and literary transculturation. His articles demonstrate consistent focus on how institutions mediate cultural identity.
