Wei Zhu

Wei Zhu is an Assistant Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Mathematics, with office hours held Thursdays 1:00pm-3:00pm in Skiles 222. His research centers on the mathematical foundations of machine learning and its applications in scientific computing and computer vision.

His primary research interests include:

• Structure-preserving Machine Learning theory and applications
• Generative modeling techniques
• Implicit bias phenomena in optimization
• Scientific Machine Learning for PDEs and dynamical systems
• Data-driven discovery of conservation laws and symmetries

Dr. Zhu's group receives funding from AFOSR, NIH, and NSF, and actively recruits PhD students from Mathematics, Computational Science & Engineering, and Machine Learning programs, with immediate openings for postdocs and graduate researchers.
