معرفی
Dr. Wei Zhou is a Researcher affiliated with the Professorship for Surface and Interfacial Chemistry at ETH Zürich. His work focuses on catalytic systems for CO2 conversion, syngas processing, and heterogeneous catalysis. He contributes to designing novel catalysts for sustainable energy applications, including methane activation, aromatics synthesis, and alcohol production.
Research Interests:
- Catalyst design and optimization
- CO2 utilization and reduction
- Bimetallic and single-atom catalysis
- Zeolite-based catalytic systems
- Reaction mechanisms and selectivity control
Recent research trends highlight his focus on promoting catalytic activity through alloying (e.g., Pt-Fe, IrGa), nanostructuring (single atom anchoring), and material substitution (isomorphous ZSM-5). His work addresses energy sustainability by converting CO2 into valuable chemicals like methanol, ethanol, and aromatics.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Lab of Inorganic Chemistry (LAC) at ETH Zürich, collaborating on surface chemistry and catalytic process development.
