Prof. Wei Zhang is a Matthew Flinders Distinguished Professor in Industry and Marine Biotechnology at Flinders University's College of Medicine and Public Health. As a globally recognized leader in biochemical engineering since 1989, he pioneered the establishment of Australia's third-generation marine bioproducts industry and founded the Centre for Marine Bioproducts Development (2009).
