Dr. Wei Sun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. His academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, and dual M.S. and B.S. degrees in Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology and Peking University. He specializes in control systems research with a focus on differential games, multi-agent pursuit-evasion strategies, reinforcement learning, and stochastic systems.
His research has been supported by notable institutions including the Autonomous Control Laboratory (University of Washington) and the Dynamics and Control Systems Laboratory (Georgia Tech). Key contributions include advancements in game-theoretic control methodologies and stochastic optimization frameworks. Dr. Sun teaches courses on optimization and learning for control systems, reflecting his expertise in integrating theoretical foundations with practical applications.
Professional affiliations include the IEEE and SIAM societies. His work has been recognized through awards such as the Student Travel Award from the 2015 American Control Conference. Current research emphasizes data-driven approaches to stochastic game theory and adaptive control systems, with applications in robotics and autonomous navigation.
