معرفی
Assoc Prof Wei Shengji is an Associate Professor at the Asian School of the Environment, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
His educational background includes:
- Ph.D. in Geophysics, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), 2009
- Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), 2004
During his Ph.D., he visited SeismoLab at Caltech (2008-2009) and then conducted postdoctoral research there from 2009 to 2014.
Research Interests: Wei Shengji specializes in earthquake source studies, active tectonics, and seismic hazard assessment. His approach combines geodesy, geology, and seismology to model the spatial-temporal evolution of seismic ruptures. He has developed techniques for high-frequency waveform inversions (>1Hz) for damage assessment and real-time reporting of earthquake source parameters. Current research interests include slab structures and the integration of optical and SAR imaging for ground deformation analysis. His work covers both natural and induced seismic events.
Collaborations: He collaborates with researchers at Caltech (Prof. Avouac), JPL (Eric Fielding), and USGS (Robert Graves, Kenneth Hudnut) on seismic hazard projects.
Advising and Grants: The available text does not specify details about his advisees or grant funding.
Labs and Teams: He was previously affiliated with SeismoLab at Caltech. Currently, he is part of the research community at the Asian School of the Environment, NTU.
