Wei Peng

Associate Professor Wei Peng is a Principal Research Fellow in Industrial Artificial Intelligence at the School of Engineering, RMIT University. With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in AI research, commercialization, and strategic technology leadership. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney (2007), focusing on cognitive agents. His roles include leading AI innovation at Huawei, directing research portfolios exceeding $10M USD, and supervising teams in generative AI and enterprise solutions. Previously, he served as Senior Lecturer at La Trobe University and held senior technical roles at Telstra, Lenovo, and AUSTRAC.
