Wei Ho is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Michigan (on leave) and holds affiliations at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) and Princeton University. Her research focuses on number theory, algebraic geometry, and their intersections with invariant theory, dynamics, and combinatorics. She earned her M.A. from Harvard University (2003) and Ph.D. from Princeton University (2009).
Her work bridges arithmetic geometry and algebraic structures, including studies on elliptic curves, Brauer groups, and moduli spaces. Notably, she co-organized events like the 2025 Emmy Noether Lecture Series (IAS) and contributed to editorial boards such as International Mathematics Research Notices. Recognitions include the 2017 Sloan Fellowship and 2023 AMS Fellowship.
Ho actively collaborates in workshops and conferences, addressing topics like arithmetic statistics, rational points, and geometric methods in number theory. Her research often involves coregular spaces, Galois closures, and applications of algebraic geometry to solve classical problems in arithmetic.
