Dr. Wei Chen is a Lecturer in Psychology at the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Khalifa University. Her research focuses on quantitative characterizations of expert object recognition, particularly face perception and the dynamic holistic processing of faces influenced by socio-cognitive factors.
- PhD in Developmental Psychology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2012)
- BSc in Biology from China Agriculture University (2005)
Her research integrates Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, and Public Health to explore how human cognition interacts with social and behavioral contexts. She has conducted postdoctoral research at the Center for Cognition and Brain Disorders, Hangzhou Normal University, China, and New York University Abu Dhabi, UAE.
At Khalifa University, Dr. Chen teaches courses such as Human Behavior and Well-Being (HUMA156) and Introduction to Psychology (HUMA140), bridging biological foundations with mental health applications.
