Dr. Wayne Altman is the Jaharis Family Chair and Professor of Family Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. He serves as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and has held leadership roles including Clerkship Director and Curriculum Director. His primary clinical practice is at Family Practice Group in Arlington, where he co-founded 80+ Wellness Groups achieving significant patient weight loss outcomes. Altman is a co-founder of WellnessCampaign.org, a non-profit promoting wellness initiatives.
Education: MD from University of Massachusetts (1994), BA from Brandeis University (1990). Over 2+ decades at Tufts, he's received 17 teaching awards and Boston Top Doc recognition.
