Warren Douglas Allmon is the Hunter R. Rawlings III Professor of Paleontology at Cornell University and Director of the Paleontological Research Institution (PRI). He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University (1988) and a B.A. from Dartmouth College (1982). His research focuses on macroevolution, paleoecology, and the geological record of biodiversity, particularly using Cenozoic marine gastropods. Allmon revitalized PRI's fossil collections and established the Museum of the Earth in 2003. He secured PRI's affiliation with Cornell in 2004, ending decades of separation.
