معرفی
Wannes Croonenberghs is a researcher at the Free University of Brussels within the Brussels Innovation for Learning & Diversity (BILD) research group, holding dual master's degrees in Adult Education Sciences and Political Science with specialization in youth emancipation and civic representation. His current work bridges academic research and practical policy implementation through Flemish government collaborations.
Education
- Master's in Adult Education Sciences (focus: youth emancipation, motivations of young people in boards of directors)
- Master's in Political Science (predoctoral track; focus: political representation of young people)
His research program centers on transformative educational frameworks, examining how informal learning empowers employees in workplace settings and how Inner Development Goals catalyze sustainable societal transitions. This builds directly on his foundational work analyzing children's civic roles and youth representation mechanisms through Q-methodology.
Wannes actively translates research into practice through a co-creative Flemish government project developing instruments to stimulate workplace learning, conducted in partnership with the Department of Work and Social Economy. His community engagement extends through formal roles in youth sector organizations where he applies academic expertise.
As a core member of the BILD research group, he contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives exploring learning diversity, with recent scholarly output including a 2023 master's thesis and 2024 conference presentation on child representation models using Q-study methodology.
