Wanjiku Kaime is a Kenyan-Swedish Senior Lecturer and researcher at Mid Sweden University's Department of Psychology and Social Work. She holds a PhD in Medical Science from Uppsala University, specializing in rehabilitation programs for vulnerable children. Her research developed the House of Plenty model, implemented in Kenya and Uganda, which has supported over 1500 youth.
Her interdisciplinary work focuses on vulnerability frameworks and social innovation models, examining factors affecting marginalized children's integration into society. Current projects include reintegration pathways for marginalized youth in Kenya and pandemic response strategies in East Africa.
