Wanda D. Barfield

Dr. Wanda D. Barfield is the Director of the CDC Division of Reproductive Health and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. She holds degrees from Harvard Medical School (MD) and Harvard School of Public Health (MPH) and completed a pediatrics residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

• Research Interests: Perinatal morbidity/mortality, emergency preparedness for pregnant women, improving access to risk-appropriate perinatal services, and advancing maternal/child health data.
