Walter Musial is a principal engineer and leads the offshore wind research platform at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he has worked for 31 years. He initiated NREL's offshore wind energy research program in 2003 and developed full-scale blade and drivetrain testing facilities, which he operated for 15 years. His career includes prior experience as a test engineer in the commercial wind energy industry in California.
