Professor Waleed Al-Murrani is an Honorary Professor at the University of Plymouth, affiliated with both the School of Biological Sciences and the School of Biomedical and Health Care Sciences. He specializes in biostatistics, population and quantitative genetics, while also providing counseling for Iraqi students. His work extends to international postgraduate recruitment across Iraq (including Kurdistan), Saudi Arabia, Syria, Libya, and other Arab states.
Al-Murrani collaborates with the Graduate School and International Office to establish academic partnerships abroad. He supervises postgraduate research in diploma, MSc, and PhD programs, with teaching expertise in quantitative genetics, biomedical statistics, and transgenesis (animal).
