Dr. Waitman Wade Beorn is an Associate Professor in History at Northumbria University in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. He specializes in Holocaust history, genocide studies, digital humanities, and modern German history. Previously, he served as Director of the Virginia Holocaust Museum and the Blumkin Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

- Current project: Visualizing Janowska – AHRC-funded digital architectural model of the Janowska concentration camp using historical sources
Dr. Beorn’s research has been published in leading journals such as Holocaust and Genocide Studies, German Studies Review, and Politics and Governance. His work has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Fulbright Foundation, and Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation.
