Wahidul Biswas

Wahidul Biswas is Professor and Deputy Director of the Sustainable Engineering Group at Curtin University, ranked among the top 1% of scientists globally. His research applies life cycle assessment (LCA) to construction, mining, agriculture, and energy sectors.

Biswas developed LCA frameworks for carbon footprinting of Australian grain production, building materials, and desalination. He leads projects on industrial symbiosis, waste valorization (red sand, recycled concrete), and decarbonization roadmaps for heavy industries. Current work with Future Battery Industries CRC analyzes environmental impacts of battery production.

He coordinates postgraduate courses on eco-efficiency, clean production, and sustainable energy. Biswas serves on scientific committees for Sustainable Manufacturing conferences and editorial boards of Building and Energy journals.
