Dr. WANG Yizhou serves as a Research Assistant Professor at the Academy of Visual Arts within the School of Creative Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University, where he conducts interdisciplinary scholarship bridging artistic practice and critical theory.
His research program critically examines Chinese Art History through contemporary lenses while pioneering intersections between Visual Arts, Gender Studies, and emerging Plant Humanities frameworks. This unique triangulation enables innovative analyses of ecological representation, gendered spatial practices, and decolonial approaches in East Asian visual culture.
