W. Kelley Thomas

W. Kelley Thomas is a Professor in Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire, with a focus on genomics, evolutionary biology, and environmental response mechanisms. He leads the Hubbard Center for Genome Studies and NH-INBRE Bioinformatics Core.

• Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Biology from Simon Fraser University and University of Redlands

Research Interests include bioinformatics, nematode systematics, mitochondrial genomics, and environmental biodiversity analysis. His work bridges molecular evolution and organismal ecology through next-generation sequencing.

Recent Trends show emphasis on mitogenomics, transposable elements in avian genomes, environmental DNA (eDNA) applications, and metagenomic pathogen detection.
