Volker Nemmer is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Music of the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he has been teaching since 1992. His career spans accompanist, chamber musician, and soloist roles, with concert activities across Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Sweden, Switzerland, France, England, and the USA.
Education
- Instrumental and vocal teacher training with Prof. Anna Pfeiffer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna
- Piano concert training with Prof. Paul Badura-Skoda at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna
- Coaching and song accompaniment at the former Vienna Conservatory (now MUK)
Nemmer is renowned for his collaborations with singers like Ulla Pilz, Max Müller, Konrad Huber, and composers such as Julia Tsenova and Dirk D'Ase. He has performed at major festivals including the Vienna Music Summer - Klangbogen, Wien Modern Festival, and Jeunesse musicale, as well as regular appearances at the Vienna Musikverein since 2010.
