Vojtech Svatek

Vojtech Svatek is a Professor at the Department of Information and Knowledge Engineering under the Prague University of Economics and Business (VSE), where he serves as Deputy Head. His work focuses on Knowledge Engineering, Semantic Web, and Data Science & Explainable AI, with additional leadership in the Semantic Web and Ontological Engineering research group.

Teaching: Courses include Propojená data na webu (Linked Data on the Web), Dolování znalostí z webu (Web Mining), and Logické programování (Logical Programming). Materials are available via InSIS or Recommendation web app for thesis topics.

Advising: Supervised 8 Master's theses and 3 Bachelor's theses, including works by Jirka Kosek, Ondřej Šváb, and Petra Timová. He emphasizes team collaboration and in-person engagement in courses.

Labs/Teams: Co-leads the Semantic Web and Ontological Engineering group and the broader Data Science & Explainable AI team.
