Dr. Kostić received his PhD in 2024, Master’s in 2007, and undergraduate degree in 2000, all from the Faculty of Electronics in Niš. His research interests lie in the design, analysis, and optimization of electric drives, particularly for industrial applications. He has contributed to both theoretical and applied aspects of motor control, with a strong emphasis on power electronics and dynamic performance.
The selected publications highlight his work in Direct Torque Control of induction motors, including startup behavior, torque ripple reduction, and response to voltage sags. These works span journals such as Facta Universitatis and Scientific Bulletin of POLITEHNICA University, as well as IEEE conferences. The research trends reflect a consistent focus on improving the efficiency, reliability, and control precision of adjustable speed drives.
Dr. Kostić has participated in five scientific research projects, including a Ministry of Serbia-funded project on crane drive automation and industrial implementations like PLC-based control systems in sugar refineries. He has published 30 papers and co-authored a university textbook, demonstrating a strong record in applied electrical engineering. His work bridges academic research and industrial application, particularly in automation and power systems modernization.
He is actively involved in national research projects and has contributed to industrial electrification projects. His laboratory and team activities are centered around motor drive systems, power electronics, and industrial control, likely operating within the research infrastructure of the Faculty of Electronics.
