Prof. Vlatka Jirouš-Rajković is a distinguished professor at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, University of Zagreb. She has held this position since 2013, following roles as full professor (2008–2013), associate professor (2005–2008), and assistant professor (1998–2005). Her career at the university spans over 38 years, starting as an assistant in 1987.
Her research focuses on wood surface treatments, specifically the interaction and longevity of varnish systems, and how surface modifications influence wood treatment quality. She contributes to both undergraduate and graduate programs in forestry and wood technology, including specialized courses like Silviculture and Forest Management with Wildlife Management, and Techniques, Technologies and Management in Forestry.
Prof. Jirouš-Rajković is based at the IV. pavilion (old building), 2nd floor, room 222. She offers consultations on Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00 and communicates in Croatian and English.
