Vladimir Abaskin

Vladimir Abaskin is an Associate Professor and Leading Scientific Researcher at the Laboratory of Materials for Photovoltaics and Photonics, Institute of Applied Physics, Moldova. His work focuses on optical materials, nanotechnology, and photonic systems, with a strong emphasis on chalcogenide thin films, holographic recording, and polymer-based optical devices.

Research interests include the study of photoinduced anisotropy, nanocomposite characterization, and surface relief grating formation. He has contributed to projects involving diffraction optics, biophotonics, and nondestructive testing techniques such as electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI). His lab develops advanced materials for photovoltaic and photonics applications, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like digital holography and Raman spectroscopy.

Abaskin has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles since 2006, with recent work exploring quantum dot-doped polymers and phase grating patterning. His research bridges fundamental material science with applied photonics, addressing challenges in optical component fabrication and biological tissue analysis.
