Vivian Liska

Vivian Liska is Senior Full Professor of German literature and Director of the Institute of Jewish Studies at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Since 2013, she has also served as Distinguished Visiting Professor (part-time) at the Faculty of Humanities, Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Her academic career spans multiple roles, including Visiting Professor at NYU's German Center (2014–2017), and her research focuses on modernist literature, German-Jewish literature and culture, and literary theory.

She has edited numerous books, including the ICLA publication 'Modernism' and 'What does the Veil Know?', and is currently working on a manuscript titled 'German-Jewish Thought and its Aftermath: A Tenuous Legacy' (scheduled for 2015–2016 publication).
