Dr. Vivek Nawosah is a Lecturer in Finance at the University of Essex's Essex Business School (EBS). He holds a BSc (Hons) from Mauritius and an MSc and PhD from the University of Exeter. His research focuses on Asset Pricing, Behavioural Finance, and Macro-Finance, with a particular interest in investment subsidies, term structure of interest rates, and behavioral biases. He has supervised PhD students Ayotunde Oyelakin and Pei Yang, contributing to empirical studies in corporate finance and investment theory.
Dr. Nawosah's work bridges theoretical and empirical finance, addressing puzzles such as the rejection of the expectations hypothesis in interest rate dynamics and the role of behavioral biases in asset pricing. His publications span journals like the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and Journal of Banking & Finance, examining topics ranging from corporate borrowing determinants to momentum effects in stock returns.
His academic support hours are listed on EBS UG/PG Moodle pages or via Student Services. No formal awards are listed, but his research contributions reflect a strong focus on applied financial theory.
