Vito M. Dipinto is an Associate Professor of Science Education at the National College of Education (part of National-Louis University), specializing in K-12 science methods, astronomy, and chemistry education. He holds an Ed.D. in instructional leadership (1998) and has been at NLU for 30 years, known as the “Science Guy.”

Research Focus: Integrating performance art, storytelling, and digital tools into science education. Key areas include MakerSpaces, visual literacy in STEM, and the Nature of Science (NOS). He has pioneered projects like Science is a Story and Pop Rocks Chemistry, blending hands-on experiments with narrative techniques.
Recent Work: His research emphasizes innovative teaching methods, such as using virtual labs, digital storytelling, and interdisciplinary approaches to engage students. Collaborations with schools like ASPIRA Haugen Middle School and St. Charles East High School highlight his commitment to applied educational practices.
