معرفی
Dr. Vitaliy Rayz is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University, with a courtesy appointment in Mechanical Engineering. He is affiliated with the School of Mechanical Engineering in West Lafayette, Indiana. His research focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), medical imaging, and cerebrovascular biomechanics. Dr. Rayz specializes in 4D flow MRI analysis, cerebral aneurysm modeling, and neurofluid dynamics, with applications in neurological disorder detection and medical device design.
His work integrates advanced imaging techniques with computational models to study blood flow dynamics, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) movement, and hemodynamic interactions in the brain. Key research areas include developing physics-guided machine learning algorithms for MRI enhancement, validating ex vivo systems for platelet activation studies, and modeling cardiovascular stress responses in cerebral vasculature.
Dr. Rayz has contributed to over 50 peer-reviewed articles since 2011, emphasizing multi-modal approaches to biomedical problems. His recent publications (2021–2025) highlight breakthroughs in 4D flow MRI segmentation, real-time CSF velocity quantification, and Bayesian-based image analysis. He collaborates with clinical partners to translate computational models into clinical diagnostics and therapeutic tools.
Notably, his research bridges engineering and medicine, advancing technologies such as filtration devices for chemotherapy toxin removal and augmented reality workflows for CFD visualization. His work is supported by grants focused on cerebral aneurysm risk assessment, neurovascular imaging, and biomedical innovation.
