Vitali Kapovitch

Vitali Kapovitch is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Arts and Science. His research focuses on Algebraic and Differential Geometry, Metric Geometry, and Fractal Geometry, with a strong emphasis on global Riemannian geometry and convergence with lower curvature bounds.

His recent publications (2023–2007) investigate topics such as Alexandrov spaces, RCD spaces, submetries, and noncollapsed manifolds. These works often address rigidity phenomena, curvature bounds, and geometric flows.

Kapovitch is available for Masters or PhD student supervision and teaches advanced courses like Comparison Geometry and Topology I.
