Virginie Zeninari

Virginie Zeninari is a full Professor of Physics at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA), holding the rank of Professeur des Universités Classe Exceptionnelle 2 since 2024. She serves as Deputy Director of the GSMA research unit (UMR CNRS 7331) and co-head of the Reims Physics Master program since 2011. Her career spans academic leadership roles, including Vice-President of the Physics Department and co-founder of the start-up AEROVIA (2010), specializing in gas detection technologies.

• Educations: PhD in Physics (1998, URCA), Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (2004), and postdoctoral research at Montpellier II University.
• Research Focus: Development of laser-based spectroscopic techniques for environmental monitoring, gas detection (e.g., CO₂, CH₄), and atmospheric chemistry. Key contributions include quantum cascade lasers (QCLs), photoacoustic sensors, and instrumentation for space missions (e.g., MERLIN).
