Vipul Lugade

Vipul Lugade, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Director of the Motion Analysis Research Laboratory (MARL) at the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Binghamton University. His work focuses on developing remote activity monitoring tools using body-worn sensors, evaluating concussion recovery in adolescents, and predicting fall risk in older adults through machine learning. He also applies data science solutions through his company, Control One, LLC.

Key Contributions: Over 12 years, he has advanced wearable sensor technology for clinical applications, validated smartphone-based motor-cognitive assessments, and pioneered virtual neuromuscular training protocols. His work bridges engineering and healthcare, emphasizing translational research.
