Vipin Ranga holds a Ph.D. from Åbo Akademi University and is affiliated with the InFLAMES Flagship (Innovation Ecosystem based on the Immune System) Solutions for Health. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying embryonic development and immune-related processes. Key areas include transcriptional regulation in early human embryos, SARS-CoV-2 epitope analysis for vaccine design, and protein modifications in inflammatory conditions.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Åbo Akademi University (2023)
Research Interests: Vipin’s work bridges genetics, immunology, and computational biology. He investigates how transcription factors like DUX4 orchestrate embryonic genome activation, explores viral epitopes for vaccine development, and studies protein citrullination in rheumatoid arthritis. His findings contribute to understanding developmental disorders and autoimmune diseases.
Collaborations: Active collaborations with institutions in Finland and globally, including projects on embryogenesis (with Turku Centre for Biotechnology) and immunoinformatics (InFLAMES network).
Labs/Teams: Part of the InFLAMES Flagship initiative, focusing on immune system-based innovations for healthcare solutions.
