Viola Loew

Viola Loew is a Research Fellow at the Department of Medical Psychology, University of Hamburg, affiliated with the Center for Psychosocial Medicine. She holds an M.Sc. in Psychology and focuses on mental health interventions, particularly postpartum depression and digital health solutions. Her work spans postpartum depression management, pediatric mental health, and healthcare access improvement.

Research interests include developing smartphone-based interventions (e.g., Smart-e-Moms trial) and web applications (SmartMoms) to address postpartum depression. She investigates interdisciplinary approaches in healthcare settings (e.g., KID-PROTEKT study) and evaluates existing care pathways for maternal mental health. She speaks German (native) and English fluently.
