Dr. Vinodh Chellamuthu is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Dixie State University. His research examines pedagogical approaches to mathematics education and epidemiological modeling, with a focus on changing student perceptions of math. He received national recognition as a Project SLOPE Research Fellow through the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges.
His research interests span mathematics education reform, applied mathematics in public health, dynamical systems modeling of infectious diseases, and statistical learning methods. Recent work includes epidemiological models of dengue transmission in Brazil and machine learning applications in real estate economics.
Dr. Chellamuthu's publications demonstrate expertise in developing mathematical models for public health challenges, particularly vector-borne diseases. His interdisciplinary work bridges mathematics, epidemiology, and computational science to address real-world problems.
