Vinko Palada is an Associate Professor in Neuroscience and Academy Research Fellow at the Department of Physiology, University of Helsinki. As supervisor in the Doctoral Programme Brain & Mind, he leads research on chronic pain mechanisms, sleep-pain interactions, and chronotherapies.
Research Focus:
- Investigating molecular and clinical mechanisms of chronic pain
- Developing circadian-based pain treatments
- Analyzing analgesic drug effects on sleep architecture
- Exploring neuroimmune interfaces in pain conditions
Current Projects:
- €20,000 grant from Liv och Hälsa RF (2024–2025)
- Academy of Finland-funded circadian rhythm synchronization research (2024–2026)
