استاد · Strong Interactions at high density and temperature
Graz University of Technologyمعرفی
Vincenzo Greco is a Full Professor in Theoretical Physics and Mathematical Methods at the University of Catania since 2016. His research focuses on high-density/temperature nuclear matter, quark-gluon plasma, and compact stellar objects.
- 1997: Laurea in Physics cum laude, University of Catania
- 2002: Ph.D. in Physics cum laude, University of Catania
Greco’s work spans relativistic transport theory, heavy-ion collision physics, and the study of nuclear matter phase transitions. He utilizes coalescence models and kinetic theories to explore quark-gluon plasma properties at facilities like RHIC and LHC.
He has secured major grants including the 2011–2016 ERC Starting Grant and 2010–2014 MIUR FIRB Excellence Grant, and coordinated INFN projects on strongly interacting matter.
- 2016: Chinese Academy of Science President's Award Fellowship
- 2012: Founding Member of the Young Academy of Europe
Greco serves as Deputy Director of INFN's Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (2019–present) and has held leadership roles in INFN and academic boards for PhD programs.
