معرفی
Vincent Tagliabracci is an Associate Professor in Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and an HHMI Investigator. His research focuses on atypical kinases regulating extracellular phosphorylation, with discoveries including Fam20C as the Golgi casein kinase. Awarded the O’Donnell Prize for Biological Sciences, he studies enzyme mechanisms in glycogen metabolism and viral RNA processing.
Key Research Areas:
- Structural analysis of secreted kinases
- Glycogen phosphate metabolism in Lafora disease
- SARS-CoV-2 RNA capping mechanisms
Honors:
- Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator (2021)
- CPRIT First-Time Faculty Award
- Edith and Peter O’Donnell Award (2024)
His lab characterizes novel kinase families using crystallography and enzymology, recently revealing bacterial effectors that undermine host immunity through protein glutamylation.
