Vincent Schleitwiler is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of American Ethnic Studies at the University of Washington, part of the College of Arts & Sciences. His work focuses on intersections of race, ethnicity, and imperialism, with expertise in African American, Asian American, and Pacific studies. He holds a PhD and MA in English from UW.
**Education**: PhD and MA in English, University of Washington. Previous teaching roles include Williams College (English/Africana Studies) and University of Southern California (American/Ethnic Studies).
**Research**: Explores transnational histories of marginalized communities. Key projects include Strange Fruit of the Black Pacific (monograph) and current work on From Afro-Asia to Outer Space: Racial Difference Beyond White Supremacy.
